London Education Department Moves
The London Education Department has moved to offices in central London in order to better support and manage all TCES one to one programmes across London. The move reflects the expansion of the service and enables the team to work with children and young people, parents/carers and local authorities across all London boroughs.
Fresh Start Brent
TCES Fresh Start Brent successfully opened in September 2006. The Pupil Referral Unit offers education to 20 excluded or difficult to place students across the borough. Successes in the first term include the pupils accessing the National Curriculum; preparation for a Fresh Start CD, written and recorded by the pupils; a range of extra curricular visits and improved attendance from pupils who have previously had negative experiences of education.
Fresh Start Essex into third year
Fresh Start Essex is now in its third successful year after opening in September 2004. The Independent School, DfES registration number:8816056, works with 30 of students across Essex working in three sites. The school offers a range curricular and vocational work to Key Stage 4 students who have been excluded or are difficult to place.
SENCO Conference
TCES is sponsoring a London Conference on Special Education Needs the company manager will be delivering a seminar on SEBD and the company will have a number of representatives ready to discuss our work with young people across London and the home countries.
