Essex Fresh Start is a successful independent day school for 40 pupils who cannot be educated within local authority provisionbased on three sites across Essex. The School offers a specialist curriculum designed to meet the educational, therapeutic and behavioural needs of key stage 4 SEBD pupils and has recently had a successful OFSTED inspection in which it was judged to be ‘good’ with outstanding features.
You will provide support to the classroom teachers including planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals and small groups, monitoring students and assessing, recording and reporting on achievements, progress and development. In addition you will help pupils to manage their behaviour and develop social skills. You will also provide formal advice and guidance to teaching assistants.
Successful candidates for the Teaching Assistant positions will be expected work at any two of the following three sites, Chelsmford, Copford or Mersea.
